In 2001 alone, California Fair Services Authority (CFSA) reviewed
more than 1,100 fair contracts submitted to the fair by vendors,
contractors and others wishing to use a fair's facilities for hazardous
or non-hazardous activities and events.
This review service, provided by CFSA at no charge to California's
fairs, gives double-check assurance that the facility user's general
liability coverage meets all of CFSA and the California Department
of Food and Agriculture's Division of Fairs and Expositions' (F&E)
agreed upon insurance requirements. Meeting these requirements helps
protect a fair should an unfortunate incident and/or claim arise
from the usage of its facilities by an outside party. After a contract
is reviewed, an insurance review transmittal is sent back to the
fair with the results of the review and any recommendations.
Here's a list of popular hazardous and non-hazardous fairground
